This past summer, the dynamic
Irish musical group Anúna marked its U.S. television
feature debut in a spectacular Public Television concert
special – Celtic Origins - as part of the
August and September national pledge drive effort. The
concert also aired during the fall on XM Radio’s The
Village (XM 15) and XM’s eclectic, free-form music
channel, Fine Tuning (XM 76). The concert showcased
the Irish group, joined by 11 world-class musicians, at the
beautiful, Gothic-style Trinity Cathedral in Cleveland, Ohio.
In support of the TV program and the Celtic Origins CD and DVD release,
members of Anúna appeared in person at more than 40 Borders stores across
the USA. The performance at the Ann Arbor, Mich., Borders store was recorded
for Borders Live at 01 and was webcast on BordersMedia.com to more than
20 million consumers.
Additionally, a music/interview special was recorded in Washington
DC at the XM Radio studios and aired across multiple XM stations
during late summer and fall.
